Registered Pets as Therapy (PAT) dog and volunteer required at Norwich Community Hospital.

The value of pet ‘therapy’ visits is widely accepted as a powerful aid to stimulation and communication. Studies have shown the presence of companion animals can improve the well-being of patients and lower the rate of anxiety, simply by making the hospital environment happier, more enjoyable and welcoming. The PAT volunteer will make visits with their dog to interact with patients in their rooms or in a ward Day Room.
