Do you enjoy organising and tidying? If so, our friendly Community Nursing Team at Long Stratton Health Centre need your help with their Stockroom.

A volunteer is needed to provide support with putting stock away and keeping the stockroom tidy, for the Community Nursing Team, enabling them to spend more time directly with patients.

Volunteering for this role involves an ongoing weekly commitment of approximately 2-3 hours a week, on a Friday Afternoon.

Responsibilities may vary, but may include:

  • Moving and opening boxes of new stock and putting new items in the correct place
  • Ensuring the cupboard is kept tidy
  • Flattening the boxes and taking them to the recycling area
  • Helping with stocktakes (this would be at a later date, once the volunteer is familiar with the task)
  • Reporting any concerns to the supporting staff member

To volunteer with us, we will need you to complete our volunteer recruitment, including our Volunteers' Induction Training and providing 2 character references.

You will be supported throughout your volunteering by a member of staff onsite and your NCH&C Volunteer Coordinator.
