Summary
A volunteer is needed to support the ward Housekeeper by keeping stockrooms tidy and well organised.Detailed description
As a Stockroom Support Volunteer you will help by putting away the weekly delivery of equipment used by the nursing team.
Responsibilities may include:
- Auditing the stockroom supplies
- Moving and opening boxes of new stock
- Putting away new items in the correct place
- Ensuring the cupboard is kept tidy
- Flattening boxes
As a volunteer for this role, you would need to commit to volunteering on a weekly basis, on Thursdays from 12pm for approximately 2-3 hours.
On rare occasions where there has no delivery, you can help with other tasks on the ward such as serving the lunchtime meal to patients.
To become an NCH&C Volunteer, you will need to provide 2 appropriate character references, attend the Volunteers' Induction Day Session, and complete a standard DBS check.
