Summary

A volunteer is needed to support the ward Housekeeper by keeping stockrooms tidy and well organised.

Detailed description

As a Stockroom Support Volunteer you will help by putting away the weekly delivery of equipment used by the nursing team.

Responsibilities may include:

  1. Auditing the stockroom supplies
  2. Moving and opening boxes of new stock
  3. Putting away new items in the correct place
  4. Ensuring the cupboard is kept tidy
  5. Flattening boxes

As a volunteer for this role, you would need to commit to volunteering on a weekly basis, on Thursdays from 12pm for approximately 2-3 hours.

On rare occasions where there has no delivery, you can help with other tasks on the ward such as serving the lunchtime meal to patients.

To become an NCH&C Volunteer, you will need to provide 2 appropriate character references, attend the Volunteers' Induction Day Session, and complete a standard DBS check.
