Summary
As a YANA Connector you are the link between your local community and YANA - identifying opportunities, places and events, to promote the charity in your area.Detailed description
It is your choice how much you get involved but tasks could involve:
- Attending events and agriculture shows
- Talking to your local community - neighbours and work colleagues
- Distributing leaflets and information packs
- General awareness raising
- Organising fundraising events
- Giving talks to local groups (if you feel comfortable doing so)
- Letting YANA know about opportunities and events in your area
The more people who hear about YANA the more people we can help and support.
All volunteers receive an induction to YANA and the work that we do, and a pack of merchandise materials to distribute. Experience or knowledge of rural life and working in agriculture is helpful but not essential.
We ask for YANA Connectors to sign up for one year and hope that you will feel able to continue a longer volunteering relationship with us beyond the initial year. Of course, we understand that life sometimes gets in the way of our best laid plans and will always work with you to suit your availability, needs, and circumstances.
