Summary
Enthusiastic, caring, reliable volunteers are warmly welcomed across YMCA Youth Clubs. Your support working with 5-18 year olds would be fun and invaluable.
Detailed description
YMCA Norfolk Youth Clubs are keen to recruit volunteers across their Youth Clubs in Norfolk: Catton Grove, Horsford, Taverham, Mattishall & Newton Flotman. Times and locations are flexible depending on the sessions attended, with plenty of opportunities to work as part of a collaborative team providing safe social activities for 5-18 year olds.
These sessions are a great opportunity for children and young people to explore creativity as well as seek guidance on issues they may be facing. By being a good listener, who is compassionate and caring, you can positively impact on the lives of young people.
This is a really worthwhile volunteering opportunity for anyone with a childcare background or anyone wishing to pursue a career working with young people.
About YMCA Norfolk
YMCA Norfolk is a Christian charity committed to providing vulnerable young people with a safe place to live where they can thrive. Housing is provided in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn, with a variety of Life Ready and Work Ready opportunities available to motivate and educate young people. Volunteering opportunities are available within these services through counselling, befriending and participation in engagement activities, as well as providing practical support across the sites. Additional youth work volunteer opportunities are available across YMCA Youth Clubs. YMCA Norfolk also has its own in house therapeutic services, as well as Muddle Puddles Nursery and Williams’ Kitchen café, working alongside highly skilled finance, IT, marketing and HR teams. Providing flexible, tailored volunteering opportunities is our goal, sharing skills and expertise, while valuing what each volunteer can bring to the organisation to support vulnerable young people to thrive.
