Detailed description

PEOPLE across Norwich are being urged to step up and volunteer at Cancer Research UK’s Shine Night Walk. The charity’s inspirational 10k event is set to take place on Saturday 04 October when 1,800 of fundraisers will take to the city’s streets in a neon-glowing parade of light and hope.

United in their determination to beat cancer one stride at a time, participants festooned in fairy lights and fluorescent face paint will set off from Chapelfield Gardens at 6.30pmShine Night Walk follows an iconic route that showcases some of Norwich’s most-loved landmarks from the Cathedral, to the Castle and Carrow Road Football Stadium.

Helping to set up the course, guiding participants around the city and handing out medals are some of the key volunteer roles on the night, but there are lots of opportunities available to meet new people and learn new skills – all in support of a good cause.
