The role of the bar assistant involves serving customers snacks and beverages and being a friendly and welcoming face of the Maddermarket Theatre.
- Previous bar experience preferred
- Be available to start work 60 minutes before curtain up to prepare the bar for the arrival of visitors.
- Serve customers drinks and snacks, using the beer taps and wine and spirit measures with accuracy and care where necessary.
- Use the Epos till system and handle cash.
- Prepare interval drinks.
- Restock, following stock-rotation guidelines.
- Prepare accompaniments to drinks, such as ice and lemons.
- Direct customers to all of the Maddermarket’s facilities.
- Assist with the safe evacuation of our customers in the event of fire and other emergency situations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the bar and foyer, prior to, during and after performances is of a high standard.
- To be vigilant at all times, with regard to the safety and food hygiene.
- Please note, you must be 18+ to volunteer on the bar
