Join the Norfolk Scouts Board of Trustees


Are you passionate about making a difference and helping young people gain skills for life? The Norfolk Scouts Board of Trustees is inviting applications from enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join our Board.


This is an open process for adults who have some spare time and are committed to volunteering in a meaningful, strategic role. The initial term is one year, with the opportunity to seek re-election.


We are particularly looking for individuals with experience in any of the following areas:


  • Grant Writing – Experience writing complex applications and securing funding for medium to large projects.
  • Fundraising – Able to build relationships and identify new opportunities for financial support.
  • Communication – Comfortable presenting and speaking with senior members of grant-making bodies.
  • Legal Expertise – Especially desirable in commercial property law.
  • Governance & Strategy – Strong decision-making, problem-solving and ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Organisation & Time Management – Efficient, reliable and well-structured.
  • Conflict Management & Emotional Intelligence – Able to work effectively within a diverse team environment.
