Summary

We're opening a new retail outlet in Wells-next-the-Sea and if you think you'd like to help us by volunteering as a sales assistant we'd love to hear from you.

Detailed description

Our charity shops bring in huge amounts of money - we get good quality donated items that can be sold. This new shop in Wells will need volunteers to help sort the donated goods, price them and arrange them attractively on the shop floor. There'll also be opportunities to serve customers and take payments by cash and card.

We don't yet know the opening times but we like our volunteers to do a four hour shift - but the times and days will be down to you.

If you've worked in retail before that's ideal but you'll get full training in the shop.

Getting there

The shop will be in Wells town centre - it's not opened yet.

About Tapping House

Tapping House hospice is committed to providing outstanding care for people in the local community living with life-shortening illnesses and to their carers, family and friends including bereavement support.
The support provided is tailored to the individual, encompassing their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs in an understanding, caring and compassionate way, ensuring dignity is maintained throughout.
Care is delivered at the hospice in Hillington, either in the Inpatient Unit, at Day Therapy groups or one-to-one sessions at the hospice. Care is sometimes provided in people’s own homes. Our outstanding care services cost a staggering £5.7million to provide each year and this year alone we will need to raise £4.1 million to provide the care patients truly deserve. We rely on the majority of this coming from the support of local groups, businesses and individuals.
