Summary
This admin role is to support our blind and vision impaired listeners. Our aim is to send out a wallet, containing a USB stick, to every listener every week.Detailed description
We are looking for a person who has good attention to detail and can deal with lots of small tasks that make up the whole listener administration role.
You will be on your own but as part of a small team that works on a three week rota system. The hours are reasonably flexible but you would be expected to be there between four to five hours every 3rd Thursday afternoon from 1pm. We never know until we go in just how much there will be to do.
The role involves keeping the listeners details up to date, registering new listeners and cancelling others. Dealing with telephone and email queries plus general office administration.
We compile Information Desk which is needed for that day’s recording. This includes any messages to or from listeners, including donations and articles about regular activities that we promote for Vision Norfolk and is given to that week’s Team Leader.
Basic IT skills are required. Full training is given.

The service is entirely free and includes postage and loan equipment. Chatterbox is a registered charity, staffed by a 100% volunteer workforce, and funded through local fundraising and donations. Chatterbox also produces low-cost studio recordings for local authorities and commercial organisations.
