Celebrate chocolate with purpose! Volunteer at Norwich Chocolate Festival to support global justice, community events, tastings, talks, and more this October.

Be part of a chocolate festival like no other — where community, creativity, and global justice come together.

TheĀ Norwich Chocolate Festival FortnightĀ is a bold, multi-venue celebration taking place across the city fromĀ 18–31 October 2025. It’s not just about indulgence — it’s aboutĀ connection, transformation, and elevating the voices of cocoa farmers.

Organised byĀ Join the Chocolution, the festival includes talks, tastings, film screenings, family-friendly events, a Chocolate Market at historic Carrow House, and international guests from cocoa-growing communities in Ghana and Colombia. Together, we’ll challenge exploitation in the chocolate industry and celebrate the people, places and cultures at the heart of cocoa.

We are currently building a volunteer team ofĀ passionate, reliable, and creative individualsĀ to help us bring this festival to life.

About Join the Chocolution

Non-profit or community initiative (CIC in development)

About Us
Join the Chocolution is a new and evolving community initiative, forming and developing to become a UK Community Interest Company (CIC).

Our mission is to elevate the voice of cocoa-growing communities and build a people-powered movement for change in chocolate. We use chocolate as a tool — a lens — to explore and highlight issues of injustice, inequality, and environmental harm.

Because chocolate is something so many people love deeply, it becomes a powerful entry point: If we can create meaningful change in chocolate, what else might be possible?

Our Core Commitments
šŸ”— Build a collaborative and inclusive community
šŸ“¢ Amplify cocoa-growing community voices and leadership
🌱 Champion environmental and social justice in chocolate
✊ Stand against trafficking, slavery, and forced labour
šŸŽØ Use creative, accessible formats to engage all ages and backgrounds
šŸ’” Use chocolate to spark deeper conversations about systems, power, and connection
What We Do
Our work includes:

Festivals and Forums – e.g. Norwich Chocolate Festival & Forum, combining public engagement, discovery, and critical dialogue
Community Events – chocolate dinners, storytelling evenings, and relaxed social events like Choc n Chat and Choc n Chill
Public Education – talks, workshops, and activities exploring the cocoa supply chain, history, flavour, and justice
Sector Engagement – working with hospitality and small business owners to improve responsible sourcing and deepen understanding
Movement Building – launching a UK-wide Chocolution Membership for individuals and organisations ready to take part in change
We are currently inviting UK-based Non-Executive Directors, volunteers, and collaborators to join us as we grow this movement together.
