Help us keep the Chocolution on track! We're seeking a finance-savvy volunteer to support budgeting, bookkeeping, and simple accounts as we grow.
Finance Support Volunteer – Join the Chocolution
Join the Chocolution is a community-led movement working to support and elevate cocoa farming communities and challenge the injustices rooted in the global chocolate industry. We're looking for a practical, finance-savvy volunteer to help us lay solid foundations as we become a registered CIC.
You’ll help set up simple, transparent financial systems to support grassroots projects, chocolate events, and funding bids – including our efforts to bring cocoa farmers to the UK to share their stories directly. If a Finance NED isn’t confirmed right away, your role will be key to our early success.
What you’ll do:
- Set up and manage basic financial records (spreadsheets or bookkeeping tools)
- Prepare draft budgets for events and funding applications
- Advise on systems for CIC compliance and reporting
- Support transparency in all our financial processes
What you’ll gain:

Our mission is to elevate the voice of cocoa-growing communities and build a people-powered movement for change in chocolate. We use chocolate as a tool — a lens — to explore and highlight issues of injustice, inequality, and environmental harm.
Because chocolate is something so many people love deeply, it becomes a powerful entry point: If we can create meaningful change in chocolate, what else might be possible?

What We Do
Our work includes:
Festivals and Forums – e.g. Norwich Chocolate Festival & Forum, combining public engagement, discovery, and critical dialogue
Community Events – chocolate dinners, storytelling evenings, and relaxed social events like Choc n Chat and Choc n Chill
Public Education – talks, workshops, and activities exploring the cocoa supply chain, history, flavour, and justice
Sector Engagement – working with hospitality and small business owners to improve responsible sourcing and deepen understanding
Movement Building – launching a UK-wide Chocolution Membership for individuals and organisations ready to take part in change
We are currently inviting UK-based Non-Executive Directors, volunteers, and collaborators to join us as we grow this movement together.
