Volunteers are needed to help people in the Holt community: collecting essentials, help around the house, providing a bit of company. Flexible hours.

Volunteers can help people adjust when they come out of hospital or when they are having a hard time. Mostly people are needing a bit of company, and help with some jobs around the house, collecting essentials or walking their dog if they cannot manage it themselves.

As a Community Support Service Volunteer, you can sign up for one off activities or activities supporting someone over a few weeks. You can choose activities based on your interests/location/availability.

30 minutes a week to help out someone in your community can make all the difference.

You will be supported throughout the recruitment process by a local Volunteer Connector. Some training will be required, a DBS check and we will need you to provide us with 2 references.

About Norfolk and Waveney Community Support Service (CSS)

Norfolk and Waveney Community Support Service is a new partnership between Voluntary Norfolk, British Red Cross and Age UK Norwich. We are working together to support people in our communities.
Norfolk and Waveney Community Support Volunteers provide a vital service for people who have just left hospital or for people who need a bit of extra support at home when they are having a hard time.
Volunteers can help people adjust by providing company, a bit of help around the house, help to get essentials, help with walking the dog and more! The roles are varied and volunteers can pick the activities that suit them most.
