Summary

The Trust, which preserves two historic fishing vessels as floating museums, is looking for a Fundraiser, either with expereince or with transferable skills.

Detailed description

The Trust aims to preserve and maintain its two historic fishing vessels, the 'Lydia Eva' and the 'Mincarlo' as floating museums, with the aim of interpreting the social history of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, together with the story of the vessels themselves. Both ships are the last of their kind and so their preservation is vital for the heritage of the local area.

The Trust, which has a turnover of around £20,000, is seeking a Fundraiser to lead the Trust's work to raise money for it's work.

The key tasks for this role are:

  • Write bids to charitable trusts and funds
  • Talk to local companies about commercial sponsorship
  • Organise bucket collections at supermarkets and other relevant sites.

You will need to have excellent written and spoken English, and although expereince of fundraising would be an advantage, it is not an essential requirement. This is a great opportunity to become involved in an iconic local charity and to gain expereince of charitable fundraising.

If you are interested in this role, please do contact us for a no-commitment discussion.
