Come help The Bread Kitchen at one of their gardening projects across Great Yarmouth and Gorleston
The Bread Kitchen offers a wide range of opportunities to the whole community based around their "good to grow" philosophy. They operate 3 mixed ability gardening groups 3 times a week at 3 different locations. across Great Yarmouth and Gorleston:
- Mondays from 10-12 at Shrublands Centre, Gorleston
- Wednesdays 10-12 alternating between the James Paget Hospital and Breydon Water at Cobholm
- Fridays 10-12 at Breydon Water at Cobholm
The volunteer gardeners help with maintaining and clearing borders, weeding, cutting grass, pruning bushes and growing fruit and vegetables. You don’t have to have any experience but they can teach you what you would like to know. If you have experience, they fully welcome that and encourage you to help others.
There are free hot drinks available.
This is a great opportunity for those who love gardening, want to be in the great outdoors, or gain skills that might be used in employment.
