Summary

The Gables Care Home needs someone help to maintain the outside garden area for the elderly residents to enjoy.

Detailed description

The Gables Care Home has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is run by a team of staff who work hard to provide top-quality care. The Gables has been open since the 1940s and is well established within the area, overlooking the beautiful Gorleston beach. The local residential home accommodates up to thirty residents who require nursing or personal care.

Do you like gardening and have an interest in general maintenance? If so, we are looking for volunteers who would be able to fulfil the role of gardening, general upkeep of the beautiful outdoor areas for residents to spend time in and the upkeep of the outer building.

If you can give up two-three hours a week and enjoy the outdoors, then this role is perfect for you. There is also the opportunity to spend time with our residents outside and talk/ explore the garden area as a supportive adult.

This is a great opportunity to if you want to get experience of gardening and work in a small team locally in the Gorleston area. Refreshments will be provided during your gardening shift.
