Summary
GoodGym is a community of people who get fit by doing good. They run, walk and cycle to support local organisations with quick, physical tasks.
Detailed description
GoodGym is no ordinary gym. Instead of lifting weights that don't need lifting, they shift boxes of donated food for the food bank. Instead of running nowhere on a treadmill, they run to collect prescriptions or mow the lawn for isolated older people.
GoodGym is launching in Great Yarmouth in 2026 and needs as many people as possible to sign up. All sessions are completely free so if you're interested in hearing more please get in touch!
Each week GoodGym across the country complete tasks such as:
🥕 Shovelling compost in a school allotment to enable children to grow food
🥫 Sorting donations at a food bank to make sure food can be distributed to those who need it
🌳 Planting trees in a park to increase green space and biodiversity
In 2026 we will be doing this in Great Yarmouth!
By getting involved, you’ll enable hundreds, maybe thousands of hours of support for projects you care about.
❤️ You will increase well-being and improve fitness opportunities for people in Great Yarmouth.
✅ You will enable hundreds of hours of voluntary support to your chosen community projects.
🌱 You will improve the environment and biodiversity by helping green spaces.
GoodGym can fit around your schedule. Most sessions happen outside working hours. If you are interested, please get in touch!
