Summary

The Minster are welcoming new volunteers to help to provide general maintenance and tidiness of the Great Yarmouth Minster and grounds.

Detailed description

Great Yarmouth Minster, in the heart of Great Yarmouth and England’s largest parish church, requires maintenance volunteers to support the upkeep of this impressive church. The volunteering role requires volunteers to:


·      Dust and polish the silverware and brass

·      Waxing woodwork

·      Sweeping in and outside of the buildings

·      Moving chairs and tables to accommodate different groups

·      General admin, paper folding and stapling

·      Cleaning toilets in the church

·      Cleaning the kitchen area

·      Using basic tools


All necessary tools, equipment, and protective gear will be provided to ensure your safety throughout the tasks. You will be given the necessary training and induction prior to this opportunity beginning. This role requires two hours a week, between 10am-12pm every Wednesday and tea/ coffee will be provided. 

You will meet great people from in and around the community and will gain valuable experience as a maintenance volunteer. What an amazing opportunity to contribute to your CV if you are looking for future employment!
