The Claremont Nursing Home is seeking volunteers to help with running various activities and to provide social interaction for elderly residents to enjoy.

The Claremont Nursing Home has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is run by a team of staff who work hard to provide top-quality care. Nestling close to beautiful Caister-on-Sea beach, Claremont House is both popular and well known in the local community. Originally opening its doors in 1996, the single-storey home offers specialised nursing care, with a 24 bed specialist dementia unit opening in 2009.

Do you like helping bring people together? Do you have an interest you would love to share? Are you seeking work experience?

If so, we have volunteering opportunities with The Claremont that include

taking the residents in their wheelchairs for a walk and running activities for the residents to join in with.

A three-day online training course, providing you with a Basic Care Certificate will be a compulsory requirement that will provide you with:

  • Health and Safety
  • Safeguarding
  • Basic Life Support
  • Moving and Handling
  • Person Centred Care
  • Oliver Mcgowan Training
  • Ancillary Training

This is a fantastic opportunity if you require experience or practice in front of a small group of adults, who would appreciate social interaction.

An enhanced DBS check will be carried out for all volunteers.
