Two volunteers are needed to join an established team for this youth club for young people aged 6-12 on Thursday evenings.

Shrublands Youth and Adult Centre on Magdalen Way in Gorleston run a popular youth club for children aged from 6-12 years old on Thursday evenings from 5:45 pm through to 8:15 pm.

Volunteers are needed to supervise the children in their play, ensuring that the children are engaged in activities but also remain safe. You'll get an induction and support from the Team, so that you know exactly what to do. No experience is necessary. We are seeking a woman for one position for safeguarding reasons as allowed under the Equality Act. Schedule 9, and Part 1. Section 7(2) e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.

You'll get a great sense of achievement helping the young people to flourish and it is a great opportunity for those who may wish to develop a career in working with young people.

The Shrubland's Trust is committed to safeguarding young people and they will undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check in order to ensure that you do not have any convictions that mean that you are unsuitable for working with children. Most older convictions and those that do not affect your suitability for working with children are NOT considered relevant. and the process is CONFIDENTIAL.
