Detailed description

Do you enjoy working as part of a team? East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) are seeking Volunteer Driver Mates to join our wonderful team and assist our van drivers at our Retail Distribution Centre based in Thetford. It’s a great place to meet new people, learn new skills, and raise vital funds for our important work supporting children, families and young people across East Anglia.


This vital role helps keep our logistics running smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with our van drivers to deliver essential supplies and equipment, contributing directly to the care we provide for children and families.


Shifts available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8am - 4pm


Responsibilities And Duties:

  • Assist the driver in loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle used for deliveries
  • Support warehouse operations as needed
  • Assist with the delivery and collection of items from EACH’s shop network and other EACH sites
  • Assist with the collection of items from members of the public
  • Assist with the delivery of items to auction houses

  • Able to work well as part of a team

  • Committed and reliable
  • Be physically fit and able to help lift heavy items
