We’re looking for volunteers who will will support our staff and volunteers with various tasks for the station.

Detailed description

We’re looking for Admin Support Volunteers who will help with the smooth running of our production office. You will support our staff and volunteers with various tasks for the station. This is an ideal role for someone looking for some admin experience or just has some time on their hands and would like to help out! No radio experience is required as this is not a radio specific role – but never say never!


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Support radio staff and our volunteers with the day to day running of Future Radio.
  • Greet and look after radio guests and other visitors to Future Radio.
  • Chatting to radio volunteers, passing on any of their feedback or messages to the Station Manager.
  • Monitor and record bookings for the studio.
  • Record weekly data for our parent charity Future Projects and Ofcom.
  • Support the volunteer Operations Assistant with new volunteer applications and interview bookings.
  • Answer the telephone and ensure that messages are passed to the relevant member of staff or volunteer.
  • Other admin duties as required


Don’t worry, full training will be given!


You will be proactive, organised and able to work independently and as part of a team under a given remit. You will have excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, and will act as a positive champion for Future Radio at all times. You will also be ready, willing and able to give the time, care and attention that the role requires over an extended period.
