About New-U:
New-U is a charity which aims to support adults furthest from work with work experience placements, mentoring and activities which run from our shop in Castle Quarter, Norwich. From here, we run a sustainable pre-loved clothing outlet where quality clothes and accessories are donated in return for loyalty points which gives customers up to 50% discount on items they buy in store.
Expectations:
We are looking for an eBay/Vinted Sales Volunteer to help us grow our sales of pre-loved clothing and accessories online. Working directly with our CEO or Project Manager, the Volunteer will photograph and create listings of items to raise funds from online sales. We are aiming to grow our sales by increasing the number of items listed online.
The Volunteer will be prepared to visit our site in Attleborough or our Norwich shop for 2-4 hours each week to photograph and list items.
We ask that the Volunteer commits to the role for a minimum of 12 months giving the necessary time and energy to grow our eBay and Vinted sales over a sustained time period. We aim for this to be a beneficial project for the Volunteer, providing valuable experience of online listing which supports secondhand fashion.
Main Duties:
· To use previous knowledge, experience and creativity to provide detailed listings on eBay and Vinted platforms to sell pre-loved clothing
· To work with New-U staff to increase our sales of pre-loved clothing online
· To enhance sustainable fashion by supporting the circular fashion economy
· To contribute to a positive, friendly and encouraging team
· To commit to 2-4 hours per week and ability to travel to Attleborough or Norwich
· To troubleshoot queries or concerns with the CEO/Project Manager
· To be prepared to meet with the CEO/Project Manager for reviews, training and further communication.
Attributes we are looking for in a Volunteer:
· Knowledge and experience of using online selling platforms eBay and Vinted along with a keen interest in fashion
· A passion for pre-loved clothing and awareness of current trends
· Ability to think creatively and to style outfits on mannequins
· Confidence in conveying measurements of garments e.g. waist, length
· Awareness of brands and confidence in pricing pre-loved clothing accordingly
· Good written communication skills, friendly, reliable, flexible
· Good time management and organisational skills with attention to detail

· 50% loyalty discount on purchased clothing items (without the need to donate) on the days that you volunteer for New-U. Applicable once 20 volunteering hours have been completed.

All prospective volunteers will be asked to complete a volunteer application form and be invited to an informal interview where their aptitude of eBay and Vinted may be tested.
