Admin volunteers at the NNUH support staff in a variety of administrative departments.

Detailed description

The NNUH are looking for Volunteers to support the Trust in a variety of setting, and we are looking for volunteers who can assist in a busy environment and are resilient to the challenges of a hospital setting.

 

We welcome people who can support staff, patients and visitors with care, compassion, positivity and empathy.

 

As an NNUH volunteer, you can expect to be provided with full training and ongoing support in order to aid you in delivering a much valued and crucial service.


Out-patient Booking Offices

We have recently launched an initiative with some of our Out-patient departments in an effort to reduce the number of missed appointments within the Trust. This role involves calling patients who are due to attend appointments within a specified timeframe (ie. 1 week ahead) to confirm their attendance or free up unwanted appointments.


We have vacancies within the following department(s):

Diabetes & Endocrinology (based at Rouen Road)

  • Monday or Tuesday (1 volunteer with times to suit)

General Medicine (based at the NNUH and the Quadram)

  • Monday to Friday (2 volunteers per week with day/time to suit)

Respiratory (based at the NNUH)

  • Monday to Friday (2 volunteers per week with day/time to suit)

Diagnostic Radiology (based at NNUH)

  • Monday morning (x1)
  • Tueday morning (x1) and afternoon (x1)
  • Wendesday morning (x1)
  • Thursday morning (x1)


Admin Offices

Volunteers withing admin departments support staff with a vareity of clerical duties, such as; filing, note pulling, restocking leaflets, basic data input, photocopying, evenloping, pack making etc.


We currently have the following vacancies:

Oncolgy & Haemotology

  • 1 volunteer, towards the end of the week

Gastroenterology

  • 1 volunteer, 1 day per week to suit

Day Procedure Unit

  • 1 or 2 volunteers, days TBC

Neuroscience

  • 1 volunteer per day, 2-3 mornings per week

Patient Experience

  • 1 or 2 volunteers, days TBC


Lost Property

To support both staff and visitors, our Trust maintains a dedicated Lost Property Service to ensure that lost items are handled with care and returned to their rightful owners wherever possible.

The deartment are looking for volunteers to accept, collect and sort items, maintaining Microsoft Excel log of items found and/or returned.


We currently have the following vacancies:

  • Multiple volunters required, Monday to Friday
