We are looking for someone to join us as a volunteer coordinator, who will oversee our event volunteers and support our Fundraising and Events Manager.
Here at NARS, we know the importance of being present within our communities and raising awareness of our vital work. As Norfolk's emergency medical charity, we are constantly looking for ways to champion our cause and build our support network.
For this, event volunteers are essential, however as a small charity, we need some extra help in coordinating these brilliant people. This will include the following:
- Looking at upcoming events and ensuring we have enough volunteers to cover them
- Coordinating vehicles and equipment for each event
- Ensuring volunteers are prepped and know what is expected of them for the event
- Interviewing new volunteer applicants
- Supporting Events Manager Rose with mapping out the annual events calendar
- Attending events where needed
- Assisting with onboarding admin for new volunteers such as ID and DBS checks
As this is a new role, we are very flexible in hours committed and open to discussion on how this would work. We would expect this person to be available regularly to ensure the above runs smoothly, and would also provide them with the necessary equipment (ie laptop and travel expenses) to do the role.

About Norfolk Accident Rescue Service: NARS
The Norfolk Accident Rescue Service (NARS) is a lifesaving emergency medical charity working across Norfolk. Our team includes highly skilled doctors, critical care paramedics, nurses, and first responders who bring hospital-level treatment straight to the scene of the most serious 999 emergencies, such as cardiac arrests, major trauma, and road traffic collisions.
Most of our clinicians are dedicated volunteers who give their time freely, while a small number are paid for by the East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) to ensure this critical support is always available. Together, they form a vital part of Norfolk’s emergency response network - often making the difference between life and death.
