Help us run our torch relay across Norfolk as one of our volunteer marshals!

Detailed description

Help us run our torch relay across Norfolk and raise money for our cause!

 

We need at least two volunteers for the following times at the following locations:

We will only expect you volunteer for one of these locations (1 hour each) but if you are interested in doing more than one please let us know.

 

Day 1:

King's Lynn NCA Office

8:30 - 9:10


Roydon NWT Car Park

9:35 - 10:30


Great Massingham Junction

10:45 - 11:45


The Bull Inn, Litcham

11:50 - 12:50


Gressenhall Workhouse Car Park

12:50 - 13:50


The Lodge, North Tuddenham

13:50 - 14:50


The Marlingford Bell

14. 15:05 - 16:00


Eaton Park Norwich

30 - 17:15

 

Day 2

Eaton Park Norwich

10:00 - 10:40


Thorpe End Village Hall

11:10 - 12:10


South Walsham Village Hall

12:10 - 13:10


Stracey Arms Mill Shop & Tea Rooms

13:45 - 14:15


Great Yarmouth NCA Office/Library

14:45 - 15:30



Marshals will need to do the following:

At starting points (King's Lynn NCA Office, Eaton Park):

  • Make sure that all runners are accounted for before they set off
  • Ensure participants are aware of any nearby amenities

 

At changeover stops:

  • Make sure all runners for the next section are accounted for
  • Ensure the changeover of the torch goes smoothly
  • Make sure all runners finishing their section are accounted for
  • Make sure all finishing runners receive water, a participation goody bag and a medal
  • Ensure participants are aware of any nearby amenities

 

At finishing stops:

  • Make sure all runners expected to finish their section are accounted for
  • Make sure all finishing runners receive water, a participation goody bag and a medal
  • Ensure participants are aware of any nearby amenities


All necessary information will be sent out prior to the event to you in advance and there will be a full briefing.
