Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our Committee and guide Norfolk County Music Festival through its next phase of development.Detailed description
Prospective applicants should have experience of private music teaching or working in schools, and knowledge of the music landscape in Norfolk.
The Committee meets approximately 4 times of year in Norwich, with meetings running for approx 2 hours. The Chair would be expected to be available to attend some events during the Festival period (mid March each year) at locations in Norwich.
The Chair is an unpaid position.
About Norfolk County Music Festival
Norfolk County Music Festival is a local charity with a long history of providing performance opportunities and music education events. Set up in 1925, the Festival runs each year in March for two-weeks, in venue such as the Assembly House and St Andrew's Hall. Children who sing or play a musical instrument perform in the festival and receive advice on how to improve. over 4000 children take part each year and we are proud to be nurturing the talents of the next generation.
