About Norfolk Knights Wheelchair Rugby Club

Norfolk Knights are a Wheelchair Rugby Club (est. 2016) with the aim of bringing this exciting Wheelchair Sport to Norfolk. In forming this club we have tried to take account of some of the key barriers to participation, and actively reduce or remove them, in order to build and promote an inviting club environment: We’re creating the opportunity We’re providing the key equipment We’re selecting accessible locations/venues We’re focussed on minimising member costs First and foremost we are focussed on building a social team for disabled players of all genders. We also encourage able-bodied volunteers to join us to become assistants, chair mechanics, coaches, referees and more. We are open to anyone from the age of 14 interested in learning more about the game. For those interested in playing competitive matches, we field a team in the GBWR WR5s tournament which is usually played over the summer months and a development league played over the cooler months. As the sport grows new tournaments are being introduced for those who want to compete more.
