Volunteer Assistant – Land Development & Maintenance Course
Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in your community?
We’re looking for a Volunteer Assistant to support our
Alternative Provision Land Development and Maintenance course.
About the Role:
As a Volunteer Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping deliver a hands-on,
practical course for learners aged 11–16 who are struggling in mainstream education.
You will support the tutor with both practical outdoor tasks and coursework, helping
young people develop new skills and build their confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the tutor with delivery of the course
• Support students with practical gardening and land maintenance tasks
• Help learners stay engaged
• Be a positive role model for young people
Who We’re Looking For:
• Someone who enjoys working outdoors and getting involved in hands-on activities
• Experience working with young people or in an outdoor/gardening setting is beneficial, but not essential
• A genuine interest in youth work or education
Requirements:
• Must be willing to undergo a DBS check
• Two references wi
• Minimum commitment of one session per week (flexible)
