Volunteer Opportunity: Social Media Marketing & Canva Design for the Tetra Project
Position: Social Media Marketing & Canva Design Volunteer
Location: Remote
Commitment: Flexible (approx. 5-10 hours per week)
Duration: Ongoing (with the potential for long-term involvement)
The Tetra Project is looking for a passionate and creative volunteer to join our team and help build awareness and fundraising efforts through social media marketing and engaging Canva designs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to use your digital skills to make a real impact on the lives of care-experienced youth, while also gaining valuable experience in nonprofit marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Management & Strategy:
- Develop and implement social media strategies to promote the Tetra Project’s mission, initiatives, and fundraising efforts.
- Create engaging and shareable content (images, videos, text posts) for our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages, fostering engagement and building a supportive online community.
- Track social media performance and provide insights to improve engagement and reach.
- Canva Design:
- Design visually appealing graphics, posters, and promotional materials for use across social media platforms and email campaigns using Canva.
- Ensure designs align with the Tetra Project’s brand guidelines and messaging.
- Create fundraising materials, such as donation appeals, event promotions, and sponsorship packages, to support Tetra’s fundraising campaigns.
- Fundraising Campaigns:
- Collaborate with the team to plan and promote fundraising campaigns, leveraging social media to increase visibility and drive donations.
- Design and share compelling visuals to encourage donations, volunteer sign-ups, and event participation.
- Help craft social media posts and email content for specific fundraising initiatives, such as crowdfunding campaigns, charity events, and community partnerships.
- Content Planning & Scheduling:
- Work with the team to develop a content calendar that aligns with key events, fundraising efforts, and awareness campaigns.
- Use social media scheduling tools to plan and schedule content, ensuring consistent online presence and timely communication.
Skills & Experience:
- Social Media Expertise: Experience managing social media accounts, with a strong understanding of best practices for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Graphic Design: Proficiency in Canva (or similar design tools), with an eye for design, composition, and branding.
- Creativity & Initiative: Ability to generate creative content ideas that resonate with diverse audiences and support the Tetra Project’s goals.
- Written Communication: Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging content that reflects the Tetra Project’s voice and mission.
- Fundraising Knowledge (Desirable): Previous experience in fundraising or nonprofit marketing is a plus, but not essential.
