Overview

A Charity Ambassador is a passionate and committed representative of Thrive Autism. This role serves as a key link between the organisation and the public, helping to raise awareness, support fundraising initiatives, and inspire others to get involved in our mission.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Public representation: Serve as an enthusiastic and professional representative of Thrive Autism at public events, meetings, and presentations.
  • Community engagement: Network and build relationships with individuals, community groups, schools, and businesses to raise the charity's profile.
  • Fundraising support: Actively promote and participate in fundraising activities and events, encouraging donations and other forms of support.
  • Storytelling and advocacy: Use personal experiences or stories to share the charity's impact and engage with the public in an authentic and emotional way.
  • Digital advocacy: Use social media and other digital channels to promote campaigns, share content, and broaden the charity's online reach. All SM must be agreed before posting.
  • Information dissemination: Accurately communicate the charity's mission, projects, and key messages, and answer questions from the public.
  • Feedback and insights: Collect and relay feedback from the community to help the charity better understand the public's needs and perceptions.


Skills and qualifications

  • Passion for the cause: A genuine and strong belief in the mission and values of Thrive Autism is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills: The ability to speak and listen effectively and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: A friendly, approachable, and empathetic manner to build rapport and trust with others.
  • Reliability and commitment: Dependable and well-organized, with the ability to manage time effectively and follow through on commitments.
  • Networking abilities: The confidence and skill to build and maintain relationships with supporters, donors, and partners.
  • Digital proficiency: Comfortable using social media and other online platforms for advocacy and promotion.
