Summary

We support ladies in Norfolk who have diagnosis of breast cancer. Due to an increasing number of members we are looking for admin and social media support

Detailed description

Treasured Chests Support Group was set up by Julie Marks in November 2021 following her diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer. Julie was looking to meet other ladies who had been through a similar experience and wanted to meet up in a non clinical setting. As Julie could not find anything locally, she put a post out on Facebook, expecting a couple of responses and an arrangement to meet for coffee once in a while. It soon became apparent that there was a real need for this type of support group and Treasured Chests was born! Fast forward to almost two years later and we have 85 members. We meet twice monthly in person and have an online Messenger group. We host regular fundraising events such as quiz nights, summer picnic in the park, the Pink Ribbon Ball and Boogie Wonderland disco nights - all to raise funds for the group to enable us to continue to9 support our members.

We are looking for a volunteer to help us with getting raffle prizes from local businesses, helping out with organising events and updating our website and social media platform.

Whatever hours you can spare will be most welcome!
