About University of East Anglia

Here at the The University of East Anglia we have a founding ethos of interdisciplinarity and a strong sense of community. The university is home to over 17,000 students and our campus gives high quality academic, social and cultural facilities to undergraduate and postgraduate students from around the world.

UEA's Grounds and Site team maintains academic and residential buildings, as well as the 145 ha (360 acres) that encompass the campus. These green spaces have won the internationally renowned Green Flag award for seven consecutive years. Our unique campus includes formal gardens, five County Wildlife Sites (soon to be seven) and spans a river, a broad, woodlands, marshes, fens, meadows, and all the habitats in between. UEA is home to 5,793 different species, including 108 that are rare or endangered.

We are looking for volunteers to help look after some of our green spaces.
