Help monitor the Norfolk Autism Strategy by reviewing progress, sharing lived experience, and recommending improvements to services across Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and provide feedback on progress updates and yearly strategy plans ahead of each meeting.
  • Participate in bi-monthly meetings via Microsoft Teams.
  • Highlight where progress is being made and where improvement is needed across local services and partners.
  • Make suggestions to improve how organisations are delivering on the autism strategy’s goals.
  • Work with other members to ensure feedback is autism-friendly, constructive, and clearly communicated to the Norfolk Autism Partnership Board.
  • Optionally, attend pre- and post-meeting support sessions to ask questions or raise concerns.
  • Collaborate with the group, co-chairs, and supporting council officers using principles of co-production.


Person Specification

We welcome applications from:

  • Autistic people of all ages with lived experience of local services.
  • Parents and carers of autistic individuals.
  • Individuals interested in shaping how the Norfolk All Age Autism Strategy is delivered.

You should be:

  • Willing to engage in strategic discussions.
  • Able to give constructive feedback and raise concerns when needed.
  • Committed to inclusion, co-production, and improving services for the autism community.


Time Commitment​

  • One 1.5–2 hour online meeting every two months (via Microsoft Teams).
  • Reading and preparing feedback in advance (approx. 1 hour).
  • Optional attendance at pre- and post-meeting support sessions.


Support and Involvement Fee

  • You will receive an involvement fee for:
  • Preparing written/verbal feedback before the meeting: £13
  • Attending and contributing to the meeting: £19
  • Optional pre- and post-meeting support sessions are available for wellbeing checks, questions, or clarifications.
  • Reasonable adjustments and accessibility support can be provided to meet your needs.
