To represent the perspectives of autistic people of all ages and actively contribute to co‑producing and implementing Norfolk’s all‑age Autism Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring your lived experience to the Norfolk Autims Partnership Board discussions, ensuring autistic voices are central in decisions
  • Participate in Norfolk Autims Partnership Board meetings (typically every 2 months) and receive an involvement fee per meeting attended
  • Support, challenge, and influence strategic planning and service design across Norfolk
  • Contribute to working groups or task-and-finish groups as required
  • Share relevant views from the wider autistic community—tracking issues, trends, and priorities
  • Maintain confidentiality, declare any personal conflicts of interest, and behave in line with the NAPB Code of Conduct


Person Specification

  • Autistic individual of any age, able to communicate from lived experience
  • Good listening and communication skills—able to represent views while collaborating respectfully
  • Commitment to inclusion, co‑production, and the aims of the NAPB


Time Commitment​

  • Attendance at approximately six board meetings per year (Normally 2 hours plus prep time)
  • Occasional participation in additional workstream or strategy sessions


Training and Support

  • You will need to complete the NAPB Autism Awareness E-Learning within three months of joining (per Terms of Reference)
  • One-to-one support via a buddy system, and reasonable adjustments provided as needed
