Summary

Do you love wrapping Christmas presents? We urgently need volunteers to wrap and pack goods sold through our eBay online store.

Detailed description

The hospice makes a good deal of money from the sale of donated items through its eBay store. Once the goods have been sold they must be securely packaged, booked in with our courier and dispatched to the buyers. We need volunteers willing to do two or three hours a week - your help will make a huge difference. And you can choose the days that suit you. You'd be in a team of about five people doing the same as you, away from the public areas of the Warehouse.

Our teams of volunteers sometimes help us to spot and research antiques and collectable items which are donated to our charity shops.

At our Warehouse there's a relaxed atmosphere so you can work at your own pace - you don't have to be quick but you do have to be thorough.

Getting there

Our Warehouse (sometimes called the Distribution Centre) is on the North Lynn Industrial Estate, in Lubeck Road. If you're not sure where it is or how you'd get there, give us a ring on 01553 767752 - we'll give you full directions.

About The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House

The Norfolk Hospice is committed to providing outstanding care for people in the local community living with life-shortening illnesses and to their carers, family and friends including bereavement support.
The support provided is tailored to the individual, encompassing their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs in an understanding, caring and compassionate way, ensuring dignity is maintained throughout.
Care is delivered at the hospice in Hillington, either in the Inpatient Unit, Day Therapy Unit or via one-to-one sessions at the hospice. Care is sometimes provided in people’s own homes.
The current services cost over £2.5 million per year to run; the NHS funds only 32% of this, with the majority coming from the support of local groups, businesses and individuals.
