The charity’s main aim is to produce the talking newspaper Chatterbox for the blind and partially sighted every week based on stories from the Norwich Evening News. Norfolk Magazine (another Archant publication) is produced less frequently as is the in-house publication Chataround.
The work in the office mainly concerns the Chatterbox listeners and any details relating to them. Our aim is to ensure that a wallet, containing a memory stick, is sent out to every listener who should receive the weekly Chatterbox recording. This involves updating any changes, such as, new listeners, cancellations, changes of address or putting listeners on ‘hold’. We also prepare Information Desk for the weekly Chatterbox recordings.
Full training will be given. Hours required are approximately 5 hours every other Thrusday afternoon although can be flexible,
