Summary

To lead on the delivery of specific campaigns, projects and events.

Detailed description

Role:                               

·    Provide leadership to any campaigns, projects or events, ensuring the work is carried out to set deadlines.

·    Agree with the Police, stakeholders and funders their commitment and involvement with the campaign, project or event.

·    With the Chairperson, recruit members to the team to ensure it is sufficiently resourced with the right number and skill set of people to be effective.

·    Hold meetings of the campaign, project or event team when appropriate.

·    Assess skills of team members and task as appropriate, making best use of available skills whilst also creating an environment for skill-sharing and development. 

·    Attend committee meetings to feedback information relating to project activity and progress.

 

 

Experience:

·      Experience of leading campaigns, projects or events from inception to delivery.

·      Ability to nurture and lead volunteers from varied backgrounds and with differing skills and experience.

·      Confident in liaising with other partners in order to achieve stated objectives of the project.

 

Competences:

·      Proactive, able to drive action and ensure delivery of strategy, projects and achieve results.

·      Highly developed interpersonal and networking skills, able to work with minimal supervision.

·      IT literate, with access to own computer and the internet.

·      Understanding of strategy and planning.

·      Leadership.

·      Commitment to the policies, procedures, goals and values of the charity.

 

Commitment:

·      To commit to volunteering with Crimestoppers for the duration of the campaign or project (or sufficient duration to deliver effective results).

·      To offer sufficient time each month to lead and plan the activities of the campaign; including attendance at Committee meetings, local involvement and some organisational duties.

·      This is a ‘working from home’ role and can be managed at personal discretion as time permits; campaigns may take place anywhere within the region and therefore you need to be fully mobile and able to travel throughout the region.

·      Commit to the principles of the Crimestoppers Volunteer Charter.

·      Sign a Volunteer Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement.


Support:

The role will be supported through regular contact with the Chairperson and Regional Manager and reasonable out of pocket expenses, to fulfil essential activities, will be reimbursed.
