Join us at our local British Heart Foundation electrical shop as an electrical shop assistant, where we have a whole host of vacancies to fill

Detailed description

The British Heart Foundation has two local shops looking for volunteers. The electrical shop is looking for volunteers who could take on one or more of the following roles

-         Working in the warehouse as a lifter and shifter of equipment

-         Operating the till in the main shop

-         General housekeeping, cleaning and presenting electrical items to ensure they are presentable on the shop floor

-         Telephonists

-         Electrical testing of appliances upon arrival into the shop

-         Working the company eBay page listing higher end items online


The role is flexible and working hours are between 9.30AM and 5PM daily, working shorter or longer shifts one or more days a week.


What you will receive as a volunteer with the British Heart Foundation

-         Tea/coffee or soup available to all volunteers for free during a shift

-         Travel will be reimbursed

-         25% off all donated items to the shop

-         10% off all new items in the shop

-         You will be entered in to the ‘Volunteer of the month’ scheme winning a £10 voucher if your name is drawn
