The Gables Care Home is seeking volunteers to help with running various activities and to provide social interaction for elderly residents to enjoy.Detailed description
The Gables has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is run by a team of staff who work hard to provide top-quality care. The Gables has been open since the 1940s and is well established within the area, overlooking the beautiful Gorleston beach. The local residential home accommodates up to thirty residents who require nursing or personal care.
Do you like helping bring people together? Do you have an interest you would love to share? Are you seeking work experience?
If so, we have volunteering opportunities with The Gables that include:
· A befriender, taking the residents in their wheelchairs for a walk along the Gorleston breach
· Running a small craft group for the residents to join in with
· Singing for the residents for a couple of hours during an afternoon
· Playing an instrument for the residents to listen to
This is a fantastic opportunity if you require experience or practice in front of a small group of adults, who would appreciate social interaction and entertainment.
