Detailed description

Cup-O-T: Wellness and Therapy Services is a not-for-profit mental health service. We provide mental health interventions and wellness sessions to young people and adults.

Our social purpose is:

  • To make mental health support accessible at an early stage.
  • To support young people to achieve their potential.
  • To make mental health support accessible in rural areas.
  • To increase mental wellness in communities.

Owing to significant and sustained growth, Cup-O-T Wellness and Therapy Services are seeking new board members to join our established team.

What will you be doing?

All Board members and Directors are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction and for developing the Organisation's aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document and the legal and regulatory guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the organisation and its staff work within the guidelines of the sector and in accordance with the governing document.
  • To determine the overall direction and strategy of the organisation and its future.
  • To uphold the organisation’s policies and procedures and act at all times in the interest of the organisation and our service users.
  • To oversee the organisation’s finances and accounts and ensure funds are being allocated efficiently
  • To meet with and communicate with board of directors regularly

As a Board member, your commitment to Cup-O-T will include participating in quarterly Board meetings and ad-hoc support meetings where Board members and Directors will provide additional advice and guidance as needed on specific issues that arise.

The business plans are to maintain and build on recent growth in the coming year as we introduce more provisions, gain more funding, and grow our therapy team. Therefore, the social enterprise requires improvements to its governance structures and key operational processes, which the board will play a key part in securing.

Key to this, we are looking to recruit volunteer Board members with experience in:

  • Finance
  • Funding
  • HR

This is an unpaid, voluntary, appointment which brings rewards other than money. All expenses directly incurred in your role as a board member on official business are covered by the social enterprise.

Board meetings will take place virtually, however, local links to Norfolk are important to understand the area and demographic of the county.

We welcome applications from all interested candidates regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, or family circumstances.
