Summary

We are looking for a volunteer to run a donations project of baby clothes and equipment that health providers could access for emergency situations.

Detailed description

This role will involve:

  • Promoting the service, asking for donations and applying for community money (Tesco etc), asking local charitable organisations for money, some Social Media to advertise for donations.
  • Sorting the donations and washing as appropriate (washing either at home with reimbursement or at laundrette).
  • Keeping records of stock coming in and going out.
  • Donations that are not suitable can be sold at pop up stalls (in library, charity stall on Market Place, car boot sale or anywhere they feel comfortable doing so).
  • Putting together the baby packs ready for collection.

We will not expect the volunteer to be in the library to give out the products. This is the responsibility of library staff.
