Taverham Library hosts a regular Dementia support group. We are looking for a new volunteer with a passion for crafts and their benefits to others. Sessions take place on a monthly basis at the library and last for 1.5 hours.
We are looking for someone to:
- Plan each session and think ahead to which materials we would need to make available for those attending to make the most of their time at the session.
- Have a passion for the benefits that crafts can bring to people
- Have good communication skills and a calm and patient manner
Experience of working in a caring role or supporting someone who has dementia would be ideal but some training can be given to assist with settling into the role.
All craft materials will be provided.
