Detailed description
Fundraising is essential to support the ongoing operations of the branch and to ensure we can continue to provide our vital listening service to the community. The role will help diversify income streams, strengthen community engagement, and build sustainable partnerships across Norwich and the wider area.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Operations manager and board of Trustees to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy aligned with the branch’s goals and financial needs.
- Identify new opportunities across multiple fundraising channels (community events, corporate support, individual giving, local grants, digital fundraising).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local organisations, community groups, businesses, and supporters.
- Support the coordination and development of our fundraising teams (Community fundraising, Grants, Corporate)
- Support and motivate volunteer fundraisers, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and good practice.
- Ensure fundraising activities comply with relevant policies, data protection, and best practice standards.
- Attend branch meetings when required and maintain regular contact with Trustees and key volunteers.
- Prepare written reports (e.g., quarterly updates) for Trustee meetings.
- Act as a positive ambassador for Norwich Samaritans, representing the charity professionally at events and in the community.
