Summary

Our Gorleston charity shop needs volunteers for retail assistant roles to help process, sort and sell donated goods.

Detailed description

Each year our hospice provides specialist care to those living progressive and life-limiting illnesses. To do this we rely on the support of local people donating their goods and time.

Our charity shop in Gorleston is recruiting retail volunteers that can help with a variety of tasks working with the shop manager in a busy retail environment including clothing, books and bric-a-brac, and this may help you back to work or to enhance your CV. We welcome students aged from 14 who have some spare time at weekends.

You will be part of a supportive team and provided with all relevant training.

This opportunity is ideal for those wanting to meet new people, gain retail experience and in turn see your valued efforts rewarded when people visit the shop and continue to support the hospice.

Details of shifts can be discussed on interview, but we prefer a minimum of two or three hours per week.

St Elizabeth Hospice has a volunteer mileage/expenses policy which allows volunteers to claim expenses and mileage incurred whilst carrying out their role for the hospice.
