Sunday Lunch Club is a tradition at the BUILD Charity, and we are looking to boost the number of volunteers in our Support Team. Here is how it works.
We book a table of maximum 8 people (6 members plus 2 volunteers) at a local pub or restaurant on two Sundays each month. Our members pre-book and then we send our volunteers details of when, where and who to expect, and then volunteers support our members to read menus, choose their food and make sure they stay within their personal budget.
The great thing is that for our volunteers there is such a thing as a free lunch, as you can claim back the cost of your meal, and any travel costs in getting there.
Sunday lunches run for 2 hours between 12 noon and 2pm, but allow 15-20 minutes either side to meet and greet and make sure people get away safely.
