Summary
As Wednesday Club Leader you will lead a team of other Volunteers making a weekly social club happen for adults with disabilities in Norwich.Detailed description
This is a new role, designed for people wanting to take responsibility and leadership for a well established programme that has run in Norwich for over 50 years but is still ripe for development and evolutionary change.
The Wednesday Club happens between 7pm and 9pm each week and attracts around 25-40 people for a programme of activities built around a social hub model at The Lazar House on Sprowston Road in Norwich.
The Club Leader role will be supported by paid staff within the BUILD Charity, and will be responsible for opening up the club, transporting resources to and from it, leading and managing the team of volunteers, and making sure that the Club environment is safe and welcoming.
The role will involve handling cash, planning, problem solving and communicating effectively so is not for the faint-hearted, but is ideal for someone used to responsibility, leadership and making a difference.
In return for your commitment we will offer full training, re-imbursement of travel costs and access to a Duty Manager should anything go wrong and you needing to contact someone.
