About Volunteer it Yourself

Volunteer it Yourself challenges young people to learn trade and employability skills by helping to fix local community spaces and places in need of essential repairs and improvements. We work with people who are disengaged or excluded from mainstream education and training, at risk of disengagement, and/or unemployed by providing them with trade and construction work experience opportunities. We also support community volunteers with opportunities to give back to their communities, by helping to renovate community spaces and places.

Our young people are mentored by professional tradespeople and can gain Entry Level City & Guilds accreditations, as well as access to further training, work-readiness and employment opportunities.
