Summary

We are seeking volunteers to deliver education workshops in local communities covering topics including first aid, empathy, migration and wellbeing.

Detailed description

Would you enjoy working with young people, sharing simple skills to build resilience to cope with a crisis in their local community?

We are looking for people who are positive about young people and believe that they can make a difference. The workshops we deliver are for young people aged 10-19 to help them to understand, cope with and respond to crisis.

The workshops cover a range of topics including first aid, empathy, migration and wellbeing.

We would like you to volunteer:

One morning or one afternoon a week

For at least 9 months

Workshops are delivered in and around Norwich at our partner's venues. This can include schools, community and youth groups in various locations. Please note as part of this role you will be expected to travel to venues to deliver workshops. This may include carrying light weight equipment or learning materials.

You must be over the age of 18 years to volunteer in this role.

If you have previous experience that’s great, but we can give full training and support if you are passionate about this and want to get involved.

We may ask you to complete a simple risk assessment. We will also have a conversation with you to discuss any restrictions that may be in place in your region and identify any adjustments you may need.
