Detailed description

The One to One Project was given charitable status in 1984 and continues to provide free Counselling, Mentor Befriending and Group Work to adults (18+) the communities of King’s Lynn, West Norfolk and North Norfolk. We aim to offer the right support, at the right time and in the right place to ensure that mental health does not become a barrier to everyday opportunities, family life or employment.


We are looking for a new Trustee to join our team. This opportunity is open to anyone who is able to give a small amount of time to a growing charity that is able to attend monthly meetings via video link or face to face at our premises in King's Lynn . An applicant with an understanding of Financial Planning and Accounts or Fundraising would be useful, but not essential. First time Trustees are very welcome.

About One to One Project

The One to One Project is a charity which provides free counselling of up to 24 weeks to individuals in West and North Norfolk wo are experiencing social/emotional/mental health difficulties. Counselling is accessed face to face at our premises in Kings Lynn, at our outreach hub in Fakenham or remotely via telephone or video link. The One to One Project also has a mentor befriending service which provides emotional support of up to 12 weeks, either in the clients home or out in the community. The Project also has a Creative Arts group and Community Group which is facilitated by a qualified counsellor and is open to previous and current clients of the Project, as well as being used as a tool to support clients who are on the counselling waiting list. The community group is also open to any applicant who does not wish to receive counselling but feels the community group would be able to provide the right level of therapeutic support they feel they would require.
